As a consultant I specialize in business aspects of professional music careers. I’m a firm believer in true coaching, that is helping people help themselves. With a Masters Degree in Comparative Literature, an Associate Professorship in communications and aesthetics and a background in copywriting, I have extensive experience with strategic communication and project development. I offer:

Producer
My main focus is soloists and singer-songwriters who wish to make music in small set-ups. I offer help with songwriting (music and lyrics), arrangement, instrumentation, recording and mixing. I have a creative, unorthodox and coaching based approach which helps bring out the best, most creative and personal performance. I offer:
- Recording of small projects in my home studio
- Collaboration with bigger studios if needed
- Beats and drum tracks for your project (MIDI, Superior Drummer 3) – a very efficient yet affordable way of providing drums
- Mixing of pop, rock and jazz music (Pro Tools)
Due to the digital revolution, I have a small mobile setup which makes it possible for me to come to you. To me production and mix is all about the emotions we put into it, and the emotions we bring out in it. This takes qualified decisions based on keen listening, experience and genuine collaboration with the artist.
Guitar
As a guitar player I have played most genres. I started out in classical music but after hearing Hendrix for the first time – from my sister’s room – I quickly developed a preference for rock music. I also have extensive experience with jazz, fusion and ambience. Over the years I have developed a highly personal approach and sonic universe that offers an original, efficient and supportive dimension to any project. I offer:

Teaching
Concerning teaching my main focus is helping you develop your own voice and style, not trying to push you in directions you are not motivated for. I strongly believe that music at its best is true to your own personality and emotional states, not predesigned and practiced patterns and licks.
I have high skills which include:
- Picking styles (finger picking, alternate picking, legato, sweep picking, speed picking, hybrid picking)
- Rhythm and articulation approaches
- Advanced voicings, walking bass, thumb based Hendrix style etc.
- Bending techniques, double stops, tapping, whammy techniques etc.
- Advanced music theory (melody, harmony, extensions, alterations, modulations, scales, modes etc.)
- Effects based playing (delay, saturation stacking, wah-wah etc.)
- Thorough gear knowledge (guitars, amps, effects etc.)
